I have been desperate in looking for an adult acne solution that is natural and works from the inside out. Phyla has been a great help. I just finished my first shipment of it, and have noticed that my breakouts are a lot less painful and big. The whipped moisturizer is especially soothing and calming! The the Phages serum has a great feel, and seems to really be working. I’m still having some hormonal acne, so curious to see how a second round of the Phage serum continues to help uproot the acne!

I have very sensitive, dry skin with hormonal acne on my chin, occasional bacterial acne elsewhere, and rosacea. I used this set in the AM as I have other skincare goals than just my acne. I’ll go through the different items in the set:
- Cleanser: described as a gel cleanser, I find it to be more of a cream cleanser. This cleanser is unfortunately too strong for my dry skin and started to really dry out my cheeks (I did ease into using it). I switched to just using it on my chin where my acne is most prevalent, and it was still too drying. I also started to notice some weird congestion. Once I stopped using, the congestion went away. So the cleanser is a no go for my dry skin.
- Serum: the serum is nice and refreshing since it is kept in the fridge. It is not drying or irritating. It is annoying though that I have to wait 3 minutes to proceed to my next skincare step, and also annoying that I cannot use another active (like vitamin c) until I wait an hour (per customer service).
- Moisturizer: the moisturizer unfortunately is just not moisturizing enough for my dry skin. I have to add a layer of a my hydrating moisturizer to my cheeks. My skin does tend to dry out more with citrus oils, so that might be why. The moisturizer did not break me out or flair up my rosacea.
Overall I do not know if I will be repurchasing. I would have given this set 3.5 stars, but half stars are not an option. If I repurchased anything it would be just the serum. My acne has improved a little…

After around 60 days of usage, I think the phyla serum is working. I am still experiencing some cystic/hormonal acne; however, I do feel like the occurrence is reduced and I plan on continuing the treatment for an additional 60 days.

I'm loving this system! The cleanser isn't too drying and gets my skin feeling clean and fresh. I use twice daily as instructed. The serum is so nice when it's cold (as instructed) and makes my skin feel empowered and fresh. The whipped moisturizer is so lovely and soft. I love how it makes my skin feel like new skin. So soft and hydrated. I use everything twice daily, and it is doing a great job. When I have a breakout, the products help move things along faster. I suffer from PCOS as well as an Autoimmune disease that causes psoriasis. This product never irritates me and always solves my acne problems. My skin felt healthier after just one use. It’s a bit challenging to get one pump to cover my whole face but eventually I got the hang of it. My skin has improved since starting this serum, it’s still not perfect but I’ve had much less irritation even when using other actives along with phyla. I’m going to keep using it.

This hasn’t -hurt- my skin, and my middle-age acne is definitely improved in a big way in the last six weeks—believe it or not from the pic, but this is so much better! (And this is without makeup—all these spots are flat and disappear with just a light foundation). It’s not as fast or complete a turnaround as I’ve had with prescription antibiotic treatment, but this also seems far more sustainable for the long run on many levels. I’m looking forward to the next round! (Just a note—I was glad to discover on the site that you don’t have to refrigerate it 100% of the time—I travel for work and was concerned about consistency. *That being said, a travel size would be awesome, Phyla!*
